Qualitative Modeling of Offshore Outsourcing Risks in Supply Chain Management and Logistics

Free Download Qualitative Modeling of Offshore Outsourcing Risks in Supply Chain Management and Logistics
English | 2024 | ISBN: 1032460571 | 221 Pages | PDF (True) | 7 MB
What are the biggest challenges facing those managing supply chains? Qualitative Modeling of Offshore Outsourcing Risks in Supply Chain Management and Logistics is intended to benefit the stakeholders in client organizations by raising their understanding and awareness about the most dominant risks. This will equip supply chain managers to give more emphasis to mitigating these risks. It further showcases the development and validation of a conceptual framework that depicts the relationship among key offshore outsourcing risks. The text explores modelling various risks which disrupt the automotive supply chain and cybersecurity breaches in digital supply chains.

Modeling and Simulation of Fluidized Bed Reactors for Chemical Looping Combustion

Free Download Modeling and Simulation of Fluidized Bed Reactors for Chemical Looping Combustion by Ramesh K. Agarwal , Yali Shao
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2024 | 236 Pages | ISBN : 3031113349 | 61.5 MB
The book describes the clean coal technology of chemical looping combustion (CLC) for power generation with pure CO2 capture. The focus of the book is on the modeling and simulation of CLC. It includes fundamental concepts behind CLC and considers all categories of fluidized beds and reactors, including a variety of oxygen carriers. The book includes process simulations with Aspen PlusĀ® software using coal, natural gas, and biomass and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations using both the Eulerian and Lagrangian methods. It describes various drag models, turbulence models, and kinetics models required for CFD simulations of CLC and covers single reactor, partial, and full-simulations, single/multi-stage as well as single-particle simulations, and CLC with reverse flow. A large number of examples for both process simulations using Aspen Plus and CFD simulations using a variety of fluidized beds/reactors employing both the two-fluid and Computational Fluid Dynamics / Discrete Element Method (CFD-DEM) model are provided.

Structural Equation Modeling

Free Download Natasha K. Bowen, "Structural Equation Modeling "
English | ISBN: 0195367626 | 2011 | 240 pages | PDF | 1491 KB
Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) has long been used in social work research, but the writing on the topic is typically fragmented and highly technical. This pocket guide fills a major gap in the literature by providing social work researchers and doctoral students with an accessible synthesis. The authors demonstrate two SEM programs with distinct user interfaces and capabilities (Amos and Mplus) with enough specificity that readers can conduct their own analyses without consulting additional resources. Examples from social work literature highlight best practices for the specification, estimation, interpretation, and modification of structural equation models. Unlike most sources on SEM, this book provides clear guidelines on how to evaluate SEM output and how to proceed when model fit is not acceptable.

Modeling Correlated Outcomes Using Extensions of Generalized Estimating Equations and Linear Mixed Modeling

Free Download Modeling Correlated Outcomes Using Extensions of Generalized Estimating Equations and Linear Mixed Modeling
English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031419871 | 525 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 23 MB
This book formulates methods for modeling continuous and categorical correlated outcomes that extend the commonly used methods: generalized estimating equations (GEE) and linear mixed modeling. Partially modified GEE adds estimating equations for variance/dispersion parameters to the standard GEE estimating equations for the mean parameters. Fully modified GEE provides alternate estimating equations for mean parameters as well as estimating equations for variance/dispersion parameters. The new estimating equations in these two cases are generated by maximizing a "likelihood" function related to the multivariate normal density function. Partially modified GEE and fully modified GEE use the standard GEE approach to estimate correlation parameters based on the residuals. Extended linear mixed modeling (ELMM) uses the likelihood function to estimate not only mean and variance/dispersion parameters, but also correlation parameters. Formulations are provided for gradient vectors and Hessian matrices, for a multi-step algorithm for solving estimating equations, and model-based and robust empirical tests for assessing theory-based models.
