10 years ago, Shay and Peter did a ‘bad habit’ shoot (https://blog.peter-coulson.com.au/2013/10/schanaes-bad-habit-nsfw/) and Shay said it is the shoot she receives the most compliments about still to this day, so for the 10th anniversary they decided to recreate it. They changed up the lighting, using a constant light with a cross gobo cut out of it, this was based off of a shoot that Peter also did many years ago that he has been wanting to redo for quite a while.

15 years ago Peter had a concept for this nun shoot, based off a story he had heard. He got a model in the studio, did the shoot, but he has never been happy with the photo he has as the expression isn’t what he was after. So many people always compliment him on it but he still doesn’t like it. So he decided to redo the shoot with Anne and created a series for the story.

Peter finally has some time to do more of ‘his stuff’, and so we flew the awesomehttps://www.instagram.com/bbellaawhite/over from LA for some shoots to create some awesome images! This shoot was one of their first ones together, adding on to Peter’s ‘nothing but boots’ series. Peter showed Bella the images he has already taken for the series and one of them really stood out to Bella in terms of lighting, so Peter tried to take this similar feel but also create a new awesome shot for the series!

Ana was in the studio to create some promotional material to promote her new single and had a sparkly outfit she wanted to wear, so Peter found a nice soft lighting to build off and at the end did his favourite thing to do and make it his own.

This two part tutorial is from Peter and model Bonnee’s first shoot together, the fist part is is a fly-on-the-wall of the start of their shoot with Peter trying to break her as he always does when working with a model for the first time. You will see the change with her as they move into part two when she begins to drift more and even changes her ‘favourite’ side of her face after seeing herself like she never has before!
