Structural Mathematical Modeling Applications in Technological Machines and Transportation Vehicles

Free Download Structural Mathematical Modeling Applications in Technological Machines and Transportation Vehicles
by Eliseev Andrey

English | 2023 | ISBN: 1668472384 | 302 pages | True PDF EPUB | 70.74 MB
As technology continues to advance, the complexity of technological machines and transportation vehicles increases, presenting new challenges in assessing their dynamic properties. A thorough explanation of new forms of construction of mathematical models that take into account the potential occurrence of new standard links in the initial oscillatory structures is needed for a comprehensive solution to the challenges posed by the dynamics of machines. Structural Mathematical Modeling Applications in Technological Machines and Transportation Vehicles by Andrey Eliseev evaluates solutions on how to accurately assess the dynamic properties of modern machines. Eliseev’s in-depth analysis of the interconnectedness of the processes of studying the state of the technical object, evaluating its dynamic properties, and solving specific problems of dynamic interaction of machine elements provides a unique perspective on the challenges posed by machine dynamics. This book is an essential resource for specialists in the field of research, design, and calculations of technical objects exposed to dynamic loads, as well as students and postgraduates of technical specialties related to the application of system analysis and mathematical modeling.

English | 2019 | ISBN: 0367289598, 0865318123 | EPUB | pages: 316 | 1.2 mb
Focusing on East Germany’s capacity to innovate and diffuse technology, this book sheds light on the technological gap that has developed between the two Germanies. Dr. Bentley compares the sophistication of GDR and FRG technology in different industrial branches, evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the GDR’s research and development system, compares the R&D effort of the two Germanies, and discusses the government policies that affected technological change in GDR industry from 1945 to 1975. He identifies and analyzes hindrances to research, innovation, and diffusion in the fields of planning, organization, economic stimulation, and ideology, and looks at the formation of interest groups. He also compares evidence from the GDR with data from other countries, including the USSR.

When our phones become our keys to access everything, will our lives be more convenient or more at the mercy of whoever can hack into our devices? Will self-driving cars help us maximize our time and get to our destination safely, or will they erode the autonomy and freedom we feel when we drive ourselves? What happens if the government, in the name of public health, gains access to the data in our handy fitness trackers and uses it to reward or limit us?

The Work of Art in the Age of Its Technological Reproducibility, and Other Writings on Media

Free Download The Work of Art in the Age of Its Technological Reproducibility, and Other Writings on Media By Benjamin, Walter;Jennings, Michael W(Editor);Doherty, Brigid(Editor);Jephcott, Edmund F N(Translator)
2008 | 374 Pages | ISBN: 0674024451 | PDF | 16 MB
Benjamin’s famous ‘Work of Art’ essay sets out his boldest thoughts–on media and on culture in general–in their most realized form, while retaining an edge that gets under the skin of everyone who reads it. In this essay the visual arts of the machine age morph into literature and theory and then back again to images, gestures, and thought. This essay, however, is only the beginning of a vast collection of writings that the editors have assembled to demonstrate what was revolutionary about Benjamin’s explorations on media. Long before Marshall McLuhan, Benjamin saw that the way a bullet rips into its victim is exactly the way a movie or pop song lodges in the soul. This book contains the second, and most daring, of the four versions of the ‘Work of Art’ essay the one that addresses the utopian developments of the modern media. The collection tracks Benjamin’s observations on the media as they are revealed in essays on the production and reception of art; on film, radio, and photography; and on the modern transformations of literature and painting. The volume contains some of Benjamin’s best-known work alongside fascinating, little-known essays–some appearing for the first time in English. In the context of his passionate engagement with questions of aesthetics, the scope of Benjamin’s media theory can be fully appreciated.

‘What does it mean to be human?’ This age-old question has gained new urgency in the light of current technological developments. This volume addresses these developments, as well as the impact they have on human self-understanding, particularly from the perspective of Christian theological anthropology. This volume consists of fourteen chapters, divided into four different parts. The first part explores the challenges that contemporary technology poses with regard to human self-understanding. In the second part, the conceptual assumptions of technological developments themselves are critically questioned. The third part offers theological perspectives on technological developments and assumptions. The fourth and last part of the book returns to the empirical realm, describing the ethical challenges that can be experienced living with complex technology.

Humanesis Sound and Technological Posthumanism

Free Download Humanesis: Sound and Technological Posthumanism By David Cecchetto
2013 | 224 Pages | ISBN: 0816679630 | PDF | 2 MB
Humanesis critically examines central strains of posthumanism, searching out biases in the ways that human-technology coupling is explained. Specifically, it interrogates three approaches taken by posthumanist discourse: scientific, humanist, and organismic. David Cecchetto’s investigations reveal how each perspective continues to hold on to elements of the humanist tradition that it is ostensibly mobilized against. His study frontally desublimates the previously unseen presumptions that underlie each of the three thought lines and offers incisive appraisals of the work of three prominent thinkers: Ollivier Dyens, Katherine Hayles, and Mark Hansen. To materially ground the problematic of posthumanism, Humanesis interweaves its theoretical chapters with discussions of artworks. These highlight the topos of sound, demonstrating how aurality might produce new insights in a field that has been dominated by visualization. Cecchetto, a media artist, scrutinizes his own collaborative artistic practice in which he elucidates the variegated causal chains that compose human-technological coupling.Humanesis advances the posthumanist conversation in several important ways. It proposes the term "technological posthumanism" to focus on the discourse as it relates to technology without neglecting its other disciplinary histories. It suggests that deconstruction remains relevant to the enterprise, especially with respect to the performative dimension of language. It analyzes artworks not yet considered in the light of posthumanism, with a particular emphasis on the role of aurality. And the form of the text introduces a reflexive component that exemplifies how the dialogue of posthumanism might progress without resorting to the types of unilateral narratives that the book critiques.
