Chapters display a variety of research methods, both qualitative and quantitative, including case studies, best practices, surveys, novel approaches to interpretations, concepts and theories. Together they contribute to a significant extension of the existing knowledge on non-technological innovations and their role in organizations. This volume highlights the effects of marketing and organizational innovation strategies on companies’ innovation and overall performance, while demonstrating that the effects of NTI may vary depending on the phase of the innovation process, and how it differs within small, medium and large enterprises from manufacturing and service industries. Maurice Blanchot and Fragmentary Writing A Change of Epoch

Free Download Maurice Blanchot and Fragmentary Writing: A Change of Epoch By Leslie Hill
2012 | 443 Pages | ISBN: 1441125272 | PDF | 3 MB
Writing in fragments is often held to be one of the most distinctive signature effects of Romantic, modern, and postmodern literature. But what is the fragment, and what may be said to be its literary, philosophical, and political significance? Few writers have explored these questions with such probing radicality and rigorous tenacity as the French writer and thinker Maurice Blanchot. For the first time in any language, this book explores in detail Blanchot’s own writing in fragments in order to understand the stakes of the fragmentary within philosophical and literary modernity. It attends in detail to each of Blanchot’s fragmentary works (Awaiting Forgetting, The Step Not Beyond, and The Writing of the Disaster) and reconstructs Blanchot’s radical critical engagement with the philosophical and literary tradition, in particular with Hegel, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Heraclitus, Levinas, Derrida, Nancy, Mallarmé, Char, and others, and assesses Blanchot’s account of politics, Jewish thought, and the Shoah, with a view to understanding the stakes of fragmentary writing in Blanchot and within philosophical and literary modernity in general.

Free Download Mass Media and Historical Change: Germany in International Perspective, 1400 to the Present By Frank Bösch, Freya Buechter
2015 | 212 Pages | ISBN: 1782386254 | PDF | 2 MB
"This is an excellent, wide-ranging, and expertly researched survey of the historical role of mass media in the Western world. It is original, concise, and well written, and provides a wealth of information that is not easily accessible elsewhere… t is held together by analytical questions on the role of mass media in mirroring and fostering cultural, social, economic, and political change… The breadth of the survey is admirable and so is its academic rigor." · Christina von Hodenberg, Queen Mary University of London
Media influenced politics, culture, and everyday life long before the invention of the Internet. This book shows how the advent of new media has changed societies in modern history, focusing not on the specifics of technology but rather on their distribution, use, and impact. Using Germany as an example for international trends, it compares the advent of printing in Europe and East Asia, and the impact of the press on revolutions, nation building, and wars in North America and Europe. The rise of tabloids and film is discussed as an international phenomenon, as the importance of media during National Socialism is looked at in comparison with Fascist Italy and Spain. Finally, this book offers a precise analysis of media during the Cold War, with divided Germany providing the central case study. Frank Bösch is a Professor at the University of Potsdam and Director of the Center for Contemporary History. He is the author and editor of more than a dozen books on political, social, and media history, including Journalists as Political Actors: Transfers and Interactions Between Britain and Germany since the Late 19th Century (co-edited with Dominik Geppert, 2008) and Public History (co-edited with Constantin Goschler, 2009). He is also co-editor of the journal Zeithistorische Forschungen/Studies in Contemporary History.
