Multivariate and Mixture Distribution Rasch Models Extensions and Applications

Free Download Multivariate and Mixture Distribution Rasch Models: Extensions and Applications by Matthias Davier , Claus H. Carstensen
English | PDF | 2007 | 400 Pages | ISBN : 0387329161 | 3.2 MB
This volume gathers together a set of extensions of the Rasch model, one of the most prominent models for measurement in educational research and – cial science developed by Danish mathematician Georg Rasch. The idea for this volume emerged during a meeting of the Psychometric Society in M- terey, CA. At that meeting, friends and colleagues discussed news about the impending retirement of Dr. Jurgen ¨ Rost, an important innovator and m- tor in this ?eld. To recognize Jurgen’s ¨ contributions, we decided to produce a collection of research on extending the Rasch model as well as embedding the Rasch model in more complex statistical models, an area that is receiving broad interest in many ?elds of social sciences at the current time. This collection contains 22 chapters by recognized international experts in the?eld.Thecontributionscovertopicsrangingfromgeneralmodelextensions to application in ?elds as diverse as cognition, personality, organizational and sports psychology, and health sciences and education. The Rasch model is designed for categorical data, often collected as ex- inees’ responses to multiple tasks such as cognitive items from psychological tests or from educational assessments. The Rasch model’s elegant mathema- cal form is suitable for extensions that allow for greater ?exibility in handling complex samples of examinees and collections of tasks from di?erent domains. In these extensions, the Rasch model is enhanced by additional structural – ements that account either for di?erences between diverse populations or for di?erences among observed variables.

FACTS Controllers in Power Transmission and Distribution

Free Download K. R. Padiyar, "FACTS: Controllers in Power Transmission and Distribution"
English | 2009 | pages: 549 | ISBN: 1848290101, 8122439896 | PDF | 7,0 mb
The emerging technology of Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) enables planning and operation of power systems at minimum costs, without compromising security. This is based on modern high power electronic systems that provide fast controllability to ensure ‘flexible’ operation under changing system conditions. This book presents a comprehensive treatment of the subject by discussing the operating principles, mathematical models, control design and issues that affect the applications. The concepts are explained often with illustrative examples and case studies. In particular, the book presents an in-depth coverage of:

The Musician’s Guide to Distribution & Digital Distribution Everything you need to know to survive the music industry

Free Download The Musician’s Guide to Distribution & Digital Distribution Everything you need to know to survive the music industry
J. Anthony Allen | Duration: 1:22 h | Video: H264 1920×1080 | Audio: AAC 44,1 kHz 2ch | 648 MB | Language: English
This class is all about how bands (and any musical collaborators) work together.
In this class, we start with the basics of distribution, and how it worked back in the days of physical products. I’ll point you to some resources if you want to release physical products (like vinyl records), but then we will move on to the digital distribution platforms. I’ll take you inside my accounts, look at my royalty statements, and walk you through the process of getting your music distributed.
Here is a list of some of the questions we will answer

Z Boson Transverse Momentum Distribution, and ZZ and WZ Production

Free Download Z Boson Transverse Momentum Distribution, and ZZ and WZ Production: Measurements Using 7.3 – 8.6 fb-1 of p¯p Collisions at +s = 1.96 TeV by Mika Vesterinen
English | PDF | 2012 | 226 Pages | ISBN : 3642307876 | 14.1 MB
This work develops novel data analysis techniques enabling aspects of the Standard Model of particle physics to be tested with unprecedented precision using data from the DZero experiment at the high energy "Tevatron" proton-antiproton collider at Fermilab, Chicago. Vesterinen’s measurements of the transverse momentum of Z bosons using the novel variable φ* have exposed deficiencies in the current state-of-the-art theoretical predictions for vector boson production at hadron colliders. These techniques are now being used in the experiments at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and have stimulated considerable interest in the theoretical particle physics community. Furthermore, Vesterinen’s measurements of the cross sections for the production of pairs of vector bosons (WZ and ZZ) are to date the most precise ever made.

Separation Techniques in Analytical Chemistry Distribution in Non-Miscible Phases or by Different Migration Rates in On

Free Download Reinhard Nießner, "Separation Techniques in Analytical Chemistry: Distribution in Non-Miscible Phases or by Different Migration Rates in On"
English | ISBN: 3111179796 | 2023 | 400 pages | EPUB, PDF | 5 MB + 7 MB
The separation of a mixture into its individual components is one of the most fundamental procedures in analytical and industrial chemistry. This classic book in analytical chemistry provides a comprehensive yet systematic outline of all known separation methods. Through its detailed treatment of the basic principles of separation possibilities, it not only covers what is currently known, but also represents a treasure trove of methods that are still awaiting further development. It is clearly structured and contains interesting examples, further reading and a detailed index. An indispensable book for advanced students of natural sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, food chemistry, pharmacy, clinical chemistry, environmental sciences) and technology (chemical engineering, chemical-physical measurement & biotechnology), as well as teachers of these disciplines.
