English | 2015 | pages: 359 | ASIN: B0BG6842VY | EPUB | 2,3 mb
Why is so much life science marketing so bad? It’s a challenging question-and the best response may be to ask another. How do you turn the complexity of scientific and biopharma information, processes, and data into compelling, high-performance messages? It’s not easy. But building on more than 20 years of experience as a teacher, consultant, and head of one of the leading life science marketing firms in the country, David Chapin offers the definitive insider’s answer. Making The Complex Compelling is a must-read for marketers within life science companies-the people responsible for bridging the gap between complicated science and persuasive communications. It explores why the vast majority of marketing in this sector is so unoriginal, uninspired and unproductive. And it explains how to avoid common mistakes by abandoning illogical and ineffective conventional wisdom. It also serves as a clear, step-by-step guide to mastering all aspects of successful life science marketing: understanding the buying cycle, establishing differentiation, developing a position, creating a brand-story, using an archetype, climbing the ladder of lead generation, and measuring ROI. You’ll learn how the tactics and strategies detailed here can all work together to create a highly effective marketing program. And you’ll gain the tools you need to improve life science marketing where it matters most: within your own organization.

Instruments and Methods for the Radio Detection of High Energy Cosmic Rays

Free Download Instruments and Methods for the Radio Detection of High Energy Cosmic Rays by Frank G. Schröder
English | PDF | 2012 | 199 Pages | ISBN : 3642336590 | 13 MB
Cosmic rays consist of elementary particles with enormous energy which originate from outside our solar system and constantly hit the Earth’s atmosphere. Where do these cosmic rays originate? How does nature accelerate the cosmic-ray particles to energies with orders of magnitude beyond the limits of manmade particle accelerators? What can we learn by measuring the interactions of the cosmic rays with the atmosphere? Digital radio-antenna arrays offer a promising, complementary measurement method for high-energy cosmic rays. This thesis reports on substantial advances in the development of the radio technique, which will be used to address these questions in future experiments.

High-Entropy Alloys Processing, Alloying Element, Microstructure and Properties

Free Download Vikas Dubey, "High-Entropy Alloys: Processing, Alloying Element, Microstructure and Properties "
English | ISBN: 3110769441 | 2023 | 130 pages | EPUB, PDF | 7 MB + 47 MB
This book offers an analysis of the state-of-the-art in high entropy alloys (HEA). In order to increase the qualities of an alloy, one major element is typically chosen and other elements are added to it in small amounts. In order to create multi-component alloys without a single major element, Professor J.W. Yeh described a novel method of alloy design in 2004. This method involved mixing elements in equiatomic or nearly equiatomic proportions. HEAs have a wide range of structural and physical properties and may find use in various applications. HEAs are intended to have high configurational entropy. The fundamental information now known in the subject, the range of different alloy systems and the features that have been investigated so far, the current major study fields, and the technological applications are presented in this book.

High-Efficiency and High-Performance Power Electronics for Power Grids and Electrical Drives

Free Download High-Efficiency and High-Performance Power Electronics for Power Grids and Electrical Drives by Massimiliano Luna
English | PDF | 2023 | 218 Pages | ISBN : 3036580808 | 29.1 MB
This book collects papers addressing valuable techniques to improve the efficiency and performance of power electronics when applied to power grids and electrical drives. The proposed techniques leverage several approaches, e.g., advanced converter topologies, innovative control algorithms, and wide bandgap power devices. Diverse application domains were covered: interfacing Renewable Energy Sources (RESs) and Energy Storage Systems (ESSs) with AC or DC microgrids; recharging ESSs in electric vehicles; increasing performance in variable speed electrical drives and direct online induction motors; applying electrical loss minimization techniques to microgrids based on RESs. After a short description of each contribution, some perspectives for future developments are also briefly given.

High Performance Liquid Chromatography Theory, Instrumentation and Application in Drug Quality Control

Free Download Khalifa, "High Performance Liquid Chromatography: Theory, Instrumentation and Application in Drug Quality Control"
English | ISBN: 3110528800 | 2022 | 500 pages | PDF | 13 MB
During the past decade, modern high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) utilization has expanded greatly, especially in the quality control of pharmaceutical products in drug quality control laboratories. This book provides an extensive collection of technical information about HPLC-Columns (physicochemical properties and chromatographic characteristics), from various manufacturers, and helps analysts to decide on the ideal approach for their analysis according to the requirements of drug manufacturers specifi cations and the desired Pharmacopeia. In addition, the authors give practical advice on how to prepare mobile phases, choose a suitable detector, and set up an HPLC analysis. This book is comprehensive for the average professional or technician who plans to work with modern HPLC. This book is useful for most Drug Quality Control Laboratories where modern HPLC is utilized. Following a hands-on approach, the book gives key insights into the pharmaceutical applications of HPLC and the latest requirements of the major regulatory agencies such as ICH, FDA, or USP.

Black and Smart How Black High-Achieving Women Experience College

Free Download Dr. Adrianne Musu Davis Ph.D, "Black and Smart: How Black High-Achieving Women Experience College "
English | ISBN: 1978832389 | 2023 | 174 pages | PDF | 778 KB
Even academically talented students face challenges in college. For high-achieving Black women, their racial, gender, and academic identities intensify those issues. Inside the classroom, they are spotlighted and feel forced to be representatives for their identity groups. In campus life, they are isolated and face microaggressions from peers. Using intersectionality as a theoretical framework, Davis addresses the significance of the various identities of high-achieving Black women in college individually and collectively, revealing the ways institutional oppression functions at historically white institutions and in social interactions on and off campus. Based on interviews with collegiate Black women in honors communities,

A Search for Ultra-High Energy Neutrinos and Cosmic-Rays with ANITA-2

Free Download A Search for Ultra-High Energy Neutrinos and Cosmic-Rays with ANITA-2 by Matthew Joseph Mottram
English | PDF | 2012 | 150 Pages | ISBN : 3642300316 | 6.1 MB
The winner of UCL’s annual HEP thesis prize, this work describes an analysis of the data from the second flight of the Antarctica Impulsive Transient Antenna (ANITA). ANITA is a balloon-borne experiment that searches for radio signals originating from ultra-high energy neutrinos and cosmic rays interacting with the Antarctic ice or air. The search for ultrahigh energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin is one of the outstanding experimental challenges of the 21st century. The ANITA experiment was designed to be the most sensitive instrument to ultra-high energy neutrinos that originate from the interactions of cosmic rays with the cosmic microwave background. The methodology and results of the neutrino and cosmic ray searches are presented in the thesis.
