Multivariate Analysis of Ecological Data With Ade4 (2024)

Free Download Multivariate Analysis of Ecological Data With Ade4 by Jean Thioulouse
English | EPUB | 2018 | 334 Pages | ISBN : 1493988484 | 95.5 MB
This book introduces the ade4 package for R which provides multivariate methods for the analysis of ecological data. It is implemented around the mathematical concept of the duality diagram, and provides a unified framework for multivariate analysis. The authors offer a detailed presentation of the theoretical framework of the duality diagram and also of its application to real-world ecological problems.

Multivariate public key cryptosystems (MPKC) is a fast-developing new area in cryptography. In the past 10 years, MPKC schemes have increasingly been seen as a possible alternative to number theoretic-based cryptosystems such as RSA, as they are generally more efficient in terms of computational effort. As quantum computers are developed, MPKC will become a necessary alternative.

Multivariate Discrete q-Distributions

Free Download Multivariate Discrete q-Distributions
English | 2024 | ISBN: 3031437128 | 134 Pages | PDF (True) | 3 MB
This book is devoted to the study of multivariate discrete q-distributions, which is greatly facilitated by existing multivariate q-sequences and q-functions. Classical multivariate discrete distributions are defined on a sequence of independent and identically distributed Bernoulli trials, with either being a success of a certain rank (level) or a failure. The author relaxes the assumption that the probability of success of a trial is constant by assuming that it varies geometrically with the number of trials and/or the number of successes. The latter is advantageous in the sense that it permits incorporating the experience gained from the previous trials and/or successes, which leads to multivariate discrete q-distributions. Furthermore, q-multinomial and negative q-multinomial formulae are obtained. Next, the book addresses q-multinomial and negative q-multinomial distributions of the first and second kind. The author also examines multiple q-Polya urn model, multivariate q-Polya and inverse q-Polya distributions.

Multivariate and Mixture Distribution Rasch Models Extensions and Applications

Free Download Multivariate and Mixture Distribution Rasch Models: Extensions and Applications by Matthias Davier , Claus H. Carstensen
English | PDF | 2007 | 400 Pages | ISBN : 0387329161 | 3.2 MB
This volume gathers together a set of extensions of the Rasch model, one of the most prominent models for measurement in educational research and – cial science developed by Danish mathematician Georg Rasch. The idea for this volume emerged during a meeting of the Psychometric Society in M- terey, CA. At that meeting, friends and colleagues discussed news about the impending retirement of Dr. Jurgen ¨ Rost, an important innovator and m- tor in this ?eld. To recognize Jurgen’s ¨ contributions, we decided to produce a collection of research on extending the Rasch model as well as embedding the Rasch model in more complex statistical models, an area that is receiving broad interest in many ?elds of social sciences at the current time. This collection contains 22 chapters by recognized international experts in the?eld.Thecontributionscovertopicsrangingfromgeneralmodelextensions to application in ?elds as diverse as cognition, personality, organizational and sports psychology, and health sciences and education. The Rasch model is designed for categorical data, often collected as ex- inees’ responses to multiple tasks such as cognitive items from psychological tests or from educational assessments. The Rasch model’s elegant mathema- cal form is suitable for extensions that allow for greater ?exibility in handling complex samples of examinees and collections of tasks from di?erent domains. In these extensions, the Rasch model is enhanced by additional structural – ements that account either for di?erences between diverse populations or for di?erences among observed variables.
