In the arena of Parasitic-Aware Design of CMOS RF Circuits, efforts are aimed at the realization of true single-chip radios with few, if any, off-chip components. Ironically, the on-chip passive components required for RF integration pose miore serious challenges to SOC integration than the active CMOS and BJT devices. This is not surprising since modern digital IC designs are dominated as much, or more, by interconnectg characteristics than by active device properties. In any event, the co-integration of active and passive devices in RFIC design represents a serious design problem and an even more daunting manufacturing challenge. If conventional mixed-signal design techniques are employed, parasitics associated with passive elements (resistors, capacitors, inductors, transformers, pads, etc.) and the package effectively de-tune RF circuits rendering them sub-optimal or virtually useless. Hence, dealing with parasitics in an effective way as part of the design process is an essential emerging methodology in modern SOC design. The parasitic-aware RF circuit synthesis techinques described in this book effectively address this critical problem.

The Parasitic Mind

Free Download The Parasitic Mind: How Infectious Ideas Are Killing Common Sense
English | 2020 | ISBN: 162157959X | 226 Pages | PDF | 2.4 MB
The West’s commitment to freedom, reason, and true liberalism have become endangered by a series of viral forces in our society today. Renowned host of the popular YouTube show "The SAAD Truth", Dr. Gad Saad exposes how an epidemic of idea pathogens are spreading like a virus and killing common sense in the West. Serving as a powerful follow-up to Jordan Peterson’s book 12 Rules for Life Dr. Saad unpacks what is really happening in progressive safe zones, why we need to be paying more attention to these trends, and what we must do to stop the spread of dangerous thinking. A professor at Concordia University who has witnessed this troubling epidemic first-hand, Dr. Saad dissects a multitude of these concerning forces (corrupt thought patterns, belief systems, attitudes, etc.) that have given rise to a stifling political correctness in our society and how these have created serious consequences that must be remedied-before it’s too late.

Switched Parasitic Antennas for Cellular Communications

Free Download David V. Thiel, "Switched Parasitic Antennas for Cellular Communications"
English | ISBN: 1580531547 | 2002 | 254 pages | PDF | 28 MB
Switched parasitic antennas have recently become of significant interest to professionals in the telecommunications industry. This first-of-its-kind book introduces R&D antenna and communications network engineers to the basic concepts and wide range of potential applications of switched parasitic antennas, including smart antennas for wireless communications. Ths book’s clear, detailed discussion of design rules for both wire and patch antenna structures, together with their circuit requirements, gives practitioners the knowledge they need to successfully design and implement low-cost, small, switched parasitic antennas for a variety of uses.
