Total Internal Reflection Flurescence

Free Download Total Internal Reflection Flurescence: Total Internal Reflection Excitation and Near Field EmissionOptical Evanescence Microscopy (TIRK) (Biophysical Society) by Daniel Axelrod
English | November 30, 2022 | ISBN: 0750333499 | 200 pages | MOBI | 9.68 Mb
This book offers a complete presentation of the physics, math, and experimental setups for both TIRF and related evanescence microscopies. It covers evanescence in both fluorescence excitation or emission. It also discusses, in detail, the theory, setups, and practical biological/biochemical applications for combinations of evanescence microscopies with other optical techniques such as polarization, photobleaching, correlation spectroscopy, scattering, image enhancement, optical force, two-photon, energy transfer, structured illumination, scanning, quenching, and single molecule detection. Physical and qualitative discussions augment the rigorous math, making the book accessible and interesting to a wide range of audiences with backgrounds from biology to chemistry to physics. The book also contains useful step-by-step guides to building, modifying, and aligning TIRF microscopy systems for specialized purposes.

Hegel’s Trinitarian Claim A Critical Reflection

Free Download Dale M. Schlitt, "Hegel’s Trinitarian Claim: A Critical Reflection"
English | 2012 | pages: 404 | ISBN: 1438443757, 1438443749 | PDF | 2,1 mb
Hegel’s philosophical interpretation of Trinity as a dialectically developing movement of Spirit is one of the most profound readings of Trinity in Western thought. In Hegel’s Trinitarian Claim, Dale M. Schlitt provides a careful, detailed presentation of this claim in Hegel’s major published works and in his lectures on the philosophy of religion, taking a critical look at how Hegel presents his claim that to think of God as subject and person one must think of God as Trinity. Although agreeing with Hegel’s conclusion, Schlitt argues on the basis of an immanent critique of Hegel’s thought that Hegel is not able to defend that claim in the way in which he proposes to do so. Schlitt argues instead that Hegel’s trinitarian claim can be justified when Spirit is no longer seen as a movement of thought but as a movement of enriching experience. This close analysis provides an excellent point of entry into the wider study and critical consideration of Hegel’s systematic philosophical project as a whole. Originally published in 1984 and available now in paperback for the first time, this edition features a new preface and postscript.

Light and X-Ray Optics Refraction, Reflection, Diffraction, Optical Devices, Microscopic Imaging

Free Download Light and X-Ray Optics
by Emil Zolotoyabko

English | 2023 | ISBN: 3111139697 | 298 pages | True PDF EPUB | 66.29 MB
Contemporary optics is the foundation of many of today’s technologies including various focusing and defocusing devices, microscopies and imaging techniques. Light and X-ray Optis for Materials Scientists and Engineers offers a guide to basic concepts and provides an accessible framework for understanding this highly application-relevant branch of science for materials scientists, physicists, chemists, biologists, and engineers trained in different disciplines. The text links the fundamentals of optics to modern applications, especially for promotion of nanotechnology and life science, such as conventional, near-field, confocal, phase-contrast microscopies and imaging schemes based on interference and diffraction phenomena. Written by a noted expert and experienced instructor, the book contains numerous worked examples throughout to help the reader gain a thorough understanding of the concepts and information presented. The text covers a wide range of relevant topics, including reflection, refraction, and focusing phenomena, wave polarization and birefringence in crystals, optics in negative materials, metamaterials, and photonic structures, holography, light and X-ray interferometry, extensive description of diffraction optics, including dynamical X-ray diffraction, and more.
