Very rarely is data perfectly ready for visualization. Tableau Prep is a visual data preparation tool that allows you to get to data analysis faster by enabling the quick cleaning, reshaping, and prepping of data-using the same drag-and-drop paradigm as Tableau Desktop. This course shows exactly how to use Tableau Prep for data preparation. Instructor Matt Francis show how to connect to multiple data sources and combine them into a single source of data using joins and unions. Then learn how to filter, split, and rename data and how to pivot data to convert wide data into the tall data that Tableau Desktop prefers. Matt also shows how to sample data, adjust sampling size, and preview and share your final output with Tableau Desktop. The training wraps up with some example flows that show Tableau Prep in action. By the end of the course, you will have learned the skills to make Tableau Prep an essential part of your Tableau data viz process.

Free Download Robert Eskildsen, "Transforming Empire in Japan and East Asia: The Taiwan Expedition and the Birth of Japanese Imperialism"
English | 2019 | pages: 391 | ISBN: 981133479X | PDF | 4,6 mb
This book examines the history of a military expedition the Japanese government sent to southern Taiwan in 1874, in the context of Japan’s subordination to Western powers in the unequal treaty system in East Asia. It argues that events on the ground in Taiwan show the Japanese government intended to establish colonies in southern and eastern Taiwan, and justified its colonial intent based on the argument that a state must spread civilization and political authority to territories where it claimed sovereignty, thereby challenging Chinese authority in East Asia and consolidating its power domestically. The book considers the history of the Taiwan Expedition in the light of how Japanese imperialism began: it emerged as part of the process of consolidating government power after the Meiji Restoration, it derived from Western imperialism, it developed in a dynamic relationship with Western imperialism and it increased Japan’s leverage in its competition for influence in East Asia.
