The Lucid View Investigations into Occultism, Ufology, and Paranoid Awareness

Free Download Aeolus Kephas, "The Lucid View: Investigations into Occultism, Ufology, and Paranoid Awareness"
English | 2011 | ISBN: 148481228X | EPUB | pages: 222 | 3.2 mb
What governs the laws of physics and makes one man’s reality another man’s hallucination? How many points of view does it take to make a consensus? If reality is in the eye of the beholder, why should we believe anything which we can’t see for ourselves? And if our beliefs and perceptions are creating our reality, isn’t it time we asked ourselves what-or who-is shaping these beliefs, and to what end? Juxtaposing ancient myths and occult teachings with the modern folklore of global conspiracies, satanic rituals, and alien abductions, The Lucid View traces hitherto unexplored parallels between paranoid awareness, magikal thinking, and Surrealism, and finds they all share a common goal: to forge new perspectives out of the raw material of the unconscious, and to shatter the frozen lake of the consensus with the axe of the impossible. Drawing freely on the works of Blake, Rimbaud, Dostoyevsky, Nietzsche, Poe, Jung, Kafka, D.H. Lawrence, Camus, Breton, Dali, H.P. Blavatsky, Aleister Crowley, William Burroughs, Carlos Castaneda, Philip K. Dick, Jacques Vallee, Terence McKenna, John Keel, Whitley Strieber, and Robert Anton Wilson, The Lucid View covers a wide spectrum of paranormal phenomena and visionary perspectives, and weaves them into an original and spell-binding tapestry. This is a newly revised and updated edition. "The Lucid View is a primer by example-an initiation into the processes whereby Meaning can be invoked to bring the world to life around us. . . We need dangerous ideas and wild theories to bring back the color to existence. Aeolus Kephas points the way." ~Ramsey Dukes, author of The Word Made Flesh, S.S.O.T.S.E.E, and Ramsey’s Little Book of Demons "Replete with fascinating information, marshaled and presented colorfully in a sustained flow of exciting imagery, The Lucid View is a compelling witness to the choices that lie open to us. Utterly intriguing." ~Kenneth Grant, author of Aleister Crowley and the Hidden God. "Aeolus Kephas is the James Shelby Downard of the 21st century." Adam Gorightly, Author of The Shadow over Santa Susana.

Hindu View of Christianity & Islam

Free Download Hindu View of Christianity & Islam By Ram Swarup
1995 | 138 Pages | ISBN: 8185990662 | PDF | 23 MB
Hitherto, scholars have looked at Hinduism through the eyes of Christianity and Islam, but here an attempt has been made to discuss them from the viewpoint of Hindu spirituality. The two prophetic religions have a long history of conflict but they also share a common spiritual perspective. Almost from their birth, they have been systematic persecutors of pagan religions, cultures and nations. In the heyday of their domination, they acquired great prestige and their viewpoint prevailed also in judging the victims. In this book, the author questions the victors’ standard of judgement and looks at their religious premises afresh. He discusses monotheism and prophetism – the ideology of a god who has a chosen people (and also chosen enemies), but whom they know only indirectly through a favoured intermediary; he discusses the doctrines of a single life and a single judgement; he discusses the dogmas of iconoclasm, jihad, Missions and conversion. He looks at all these basic concepts and practices of prophetic religions from the viewpoint of the Yoga, and finds that they have little spiritual merit. The author also discusses yogic and non-yogic samadhis, and how the two project their own respective revelations, gods and ethical codes. He holds that the god of prophetic religions is not a spiritual being but he embodies a fanatic and intolerant idea.

Defending the Content View of Perceptual Experience

Free Download Diego Zucca, "Defending the Content View of Perceptual Experience"
English | ISBN: 1443882755 | 2015 | 395 pages | PDF | 2 MB
In recent years, there has been a notable increase in philosophical interest in perception. Perception is the basic and primary way in which we get in touch with our world in cognitive and active terms: by perceiving the surrounding world, we come to form true beliefs about it and successfully inhabit it through our actions. As such, correctly understanding the nature of perception will help to shed light on many other central philosophical issues. This book offers a defence of the content view of perceptual experience, of the idea that our perceptual experiences represent the world as being a certain way, and so have representational content. An articulated framework is provided for understanding the nature of these experiences in terms of contentful states, as well as for exploring the epistemological, semantical and phenomenological consequences of such an understanding. In addition, the book also includes a detailed and systematic account of how we conceive and ascribe the content of our experiences and their relation to our phenomenology, beliefs and knowledge of the world.

The Other Side of History A Unique View of Momentous Events from the Last 60 Years

English | 2018 | ISBN: 9814771376 | EPUB | pages: 224 | 4.6 mb
History is more than facts and figures, people and places, wars and politics, deaths and disasters. Stories are never fixed in stone; they continue to morph and evolve with every retelling.Author Simon Maier casts himself in the role of a hotelier who has worked in different cities around the world over the last 60 years. Wry, witty and sharp, history is told through a refreshing point of view. As the narrator chronicles key events of the 20th and 21st centuries, he provides details of the atmosphere, and recounts tales from people on the ground, along with sketches of the mood and beliefs of the time. Such details infuse the biggest and most important occasions of modern times with insight, precision and warmth. This book is a fascinating mix of fact and fiction; of what did happen and what might have happened. History is scattered with many great changes; some planned, most sudden; some shocking, others happy. We see the front view of the occasion, the announcement, the television footage, the moment in lights. We see the stage that is put before us ― but what about behind the scenes? What insights can we find on the other side of history?

The Disciple and Sorcery The Lunda-Chokwe View

Free Download Ben F. Eidse, "The Disciple and Sorcery: The Lunda-Chokwe View"
English | ISBN: 1443877298 | 2015 | 241 pages | PDF | 2 MB
Ben F. Eidse is Shakambangu, a messenger who announces the truth, so-named by the Lunda-Chokwe who appreciate his commitment to learning their heart language, proverbs and culture. He often began his messages with a Chokwe proverb about the kambangu bird who doesnt speak empty words like the prairie chicken, but announces the first sliver of the moon. He was also called Tata, a wise elder and blacksmith who equipped us, not with guns, but with the Word of God, which he translated, with two Chokwe pastors/storytellers. Eidse is among the rare western students of Lunda-Chokwe language and culture, which spreads over nine countries of central and southern Africa. His unique and original research captures Lunda-Chokwe oral history in print, tracing that blended tribes origin stories and cultural values. The Disciple and Sorcery is his career study of Lunda-Chokwe worldviews, including family and clan values, sorcery practices and experiences of Biblical discipleship. His research hypothesis is that a culturally relevant biblical discipleship can deal effectively with the fear of sorcery and the temptation to use it to harm others. This book will particularly appeal to the Lunda-Chokwe people, as well as to anyone who treasures respectful insight into a traditional society.
