The purpose of this training is to help employees understand their rights under OSHA hazard communication regulations and help place them in a position to protect themselves from chemical hazards in the workplace. This training will empower students to look for the chemical signal words, pictograms, labels, and safety data sheet and inventory management their employer should be utilizing to ensure they are informed of the hazards of materials in their workplace. The materials in this training can also be applied to materials purchased at home, as manufacturer’s are required to comply with hazard communication, safety data sheets, and the globally harmonized system. The training can also be used by employers to identify the major components and understand how to address compliance with the hazard communication regulation in their workplaces.
