Modern Analytic Mechanics

Free Download Modern Analytic Mechanics by Richard K. Cooper , Claudio Pellegrini
English | PDF | 1999 | 344 Pages | ISBN : 0306459582 | 25.4 MB
By modern analytic mechanics we mean the classical mechanics of today, that is, the mechanics that has proven particularly useful in understanding the universe as we experience it from the solar system, to particle accelerators, to rocket motion. The mathematical and numerical techniques that are part of this mechanics that we present are those that we have found to be particularly productive in our work in the subject. The balance of topics in this book is somewhat different from previous texts. We emphasize the use of phase space to describe the dynamics of a system and to have a qualitative understanding of nonlinear systems. We incorporate exercises that are to be done using a computer to solve linear and nonlinear problems and to have a graphical representation of the results. While analytic solutions of physics problems are to be prefer. red, it is not always possible to find them for all problems. When that happens, techniques other than analysis must be brought to bear on the problem. In many cases numerical treatments are useful in generating solutions, and with these solutions often come new insights. These insights can sometimes be used for making further analytic progress, and often the process is iterative. Thus the ability to use a computer to solve problems is one of the tools of the modern physicist. Just as analytic problem-solving enhances the student’s understanding of physics, so will using the computer enhance his or her appreciation of the subject.

Analytic Number Theory for Beginners, 2nd Edition

Free Download Analytic Number Theory for Beginners
by Pongsriiam, Prapanpong;

English | 2023 | ISBN: 1470464446 | 402 pages | True PDF | 8.95 MB
This new edition of Analytic Number Theory for Beginners presents a friendly introduction to analytic number theory for both advanced undergraduate and beginning graduate students, and offers a comfortable transition between the two levels. The text starts with a review of elementary number theory and continues on to present less commonly covered topics such as multiplicative functions, the floor function, the use of big $O$, little $o$, and Vinogradov notation, as well as summation formulas. Standard advanced topics follow, such as the Dirichlet $L$-function, Dirichlet’s Theorem for primes in arithmetic progressions, the Riemann Zeta function, the Prime Number Theorem, and, new in this second edition, sieve methods and additive number theory. The book is self-contained and easy to follow. Each chapter provides examples and exercises of varying difficulty and ends with a section of notes which include a chapter summary, open questions, historical background, and resources for further study. Since many topics in this book are not typically covered at such an accessible level, Analytic Number Theory for Beginners is likely to fill an important niche in today’s selection of titles in this field.

English | ISBN: 3110604876 | 2022 | 325 pages | PDF | 3 MB
A new wave of thinkers from across different disciplines within the analytical tradition in philosophy has recently focused on critical, societal challenges, such as the silencing and questioning of the credibility of oppressed groups, the political polarization that threatens the good functioning of democratic societies across the globe, or the moral and political significance of gender, race, or sexual orientation.

Spectral Flow A Functional Analytic and Index-Theoretic Approach

Free Download Nora Doll, "Spectral Flow: A Functional Analytic and Index-Theoretic Approach "
English | ISBN: 3111169898 | 2023 | 442 pages | EPUB, PDF | 72 MB + 7 MB
This is the first treatment entirely dedicated to an analytic study of spectral flow for paths of selfadjoint Fredholm operators, possibly unbounded or understood in a semifinite sense. The importance of spectral flow for homotopy and index theory is discussed in detail. Applications concern eta-invariants, the Bott-Maslov and Conley-Zehnder indices, Sturm-Liouville oscillation theory, the spectral localizer and bifurcation theory.

Data Analytic Literacy

Free Download Andrew Banasiewicz, "Data Analytic Literacy"
English | ISBN: 3110999757 | 2023 | 220 pages | EPUB, PDF | 3 MB + 6 MB
The explosive growth in volume and varieties of data generated by the seemingly endless arrays of digital systems and applications is rapidly elevating the importance of being able to utilize data; in fact, data analytic literacy is becoming as important now, at the onset of the Digital Era, as rudimentary literacy and numeracy were throughout the Industrial Era. And yet, what constitutes data analytic literacy is poorly understood. To some, data analytic literacy is the ability to use basic statistics, to others it is data science ‘light’, and to still others it is just general familiarity with common data analytic outcomes.

Analytic Tools for Feynman Integrals

Free Download Analytic Tools for Feynman Integrals by Vladimir A. Smirnov
English | PDF | 2012 | 298 Pages | ISBN : 3642348858 | 3.4 MB
The goal of this book is to describe the most powerful methods for evaluating multiloop Feynman integrals that are currently used in practice. This book supersedes the author’s previous Springer book "Evaluating Feynman Integrals" and its textbook version "Feynman Integral Calculus." Since the publication of these two books, powerful new methods have arisen and conventional methods have been improved on in essential ways. A further qualitative change is the fact that most of the methods and the corresponding algorithms have now been implemented in computer codes which are often public.

Levinas’s Existential Analytic A Commentary on Totality and Infinity

Free Download Levinas’s Existential Analytic: A Commentary on Totality and Infinity By James R. Mensch, Anthony J. Steinbock (editor)
2015 | 228 Pages | ISBN: 0810130548 | PDF | 2 MB
By virtue of the originality and depth of its thought, Emmanuel Levinas’s masterpiece, Totality and Infinity: An Essay on Exteriority, is destined to endure as one of the great works of philosophy. It is an essential text for understanding Levinas’s discussion of ""the Other,"" yet it is known as a ""difficult"" book.Modeled after Norman Kemp Smith’s commentary on Kant’s Critique of Pure Reason, Levinas’s Existential Analytic guides both new and experienced readers through Levinas’s text. James R. Mensch explicates Levinas’s arguments and shows their historical referents, particularly with regard to Heidegger, Husserl, and Derrida. Students using this book alongside Totality and Infinity will be able to follow its arguments and grasp the subtle phenomenological analyses that fill it.
